Due to the nature of this disease the following organ systems are affected. The types of problems that occur in each of these systems is dependent on the patient, not all patients experience the same problems.

- short claw like fingers
- enlarged head
- complications of the oral cavity (mouth and facial bones)
- larger than normal lip size
- shorter height than average aged peers
- joint stiffness
- coarse facial features
- dental abnormalities
- spinal cord compression

- cardiovascular system
- respiratory system
- muskcloskeletal system
Problems That Occur in Affected Organ Systems:
- airway obstruction (blockage of the airway)
- heart murmur
- hernias
- seszuire
- varying degrees of cognitive impairments
- thickening of the valves around the heart
- weakness in the trachea or bronchii (trachea=throat, bronchii=small sac in the lungs)
- recurrent ear infections
- frequent respiratory infections
- corneal clouding (cornea=portion of the eye)
